The unusual quest to find the fruit flavoured pipe of death in Beira

This has been a rather long and tough work week and there is something missing here in Beira which usually helps in these situations: A good shisha. Unfortunately I forgot my shisha in South Africa and shisha here has been hard to come by until now. A colleague of mine who is also a Libya exile, brought a shisha with him, however only day we smoked (the weekend of my arrival) he broke the base which has meant three weeks without pleasure of enhaling the fruit flavoured smoke that both of us are fond of (I refuse to use “addicted to”).

Mauricio´s pipe which he himself shattered later... Oh the rage!

We will not cease our search for the fruit flavoured pipe of death. Where art thou hiding sweet pipe? Where art thou?! Our search has already meant walking up to complete Muslim strangers and desperately asking them “Do you smoke shisha? Where can I find it? Please help us…”. This has come to no avail as of yet however we will continue our quest until our final coughing breath…

Been having shisha every day, mate… Every day.

Sorry that’s quite mean of me… it’s true though.
