Raquel and I arrived almost three weeks ago and one thing that has been synonymous with our return has been the absence of water. This week for example, we haven’t had water for three days already. Now anyone coming from Europe would be finding this outrageous and would be on a moanfest already… But not Raquel, yes she finds it inconvenient, but hey, if we need to take baths in the pool, then let’s do it, because afterall, anything is better than three days without bathing in the remote jungles of Laos and being attacked by leeches! (Wait for the Laos post to find out more about the leaches!)
Three days without water?! Where are you guys staying right now? That sucks.
Yeah… I’ve had worse so I’m not complaining 🙂 We’re in my hometown in Limpopo Province.
Good for you 🙂 I guess I’m spoiled here in Jozi. My water recently went off for half a day and I whined the whole time.
It’s only until I get a job sorted in JHB or PTA, then will be moving. Yeah, water cuts are the norm here… But hey I’ve already had 4 days without water in Libya, so this is nothing 🙂
