Photo of the Week: In South Africa’s Wild West

This weekend Raquel and I went on a road trip to South Africa’s Mpumalanga Province on a route aptly named the Panorama Route, which includes some spectacular landscapes and some interesting towns, one of which is called Pilgrim’s Rest a village which was the site of a former gold rush town and these days is a an open air museum of the village’s gold mining history. We stayed at a hotel which embodies whole feeling and vibe of this town which seems to take into the past and the photo below was the little cabin we stayed in. A longer post will about this great little trip to an unknown part of South Africa for me. Enjoy!

Our little blast from the past!
